College of Visual and Performing Arts Dance AuditionsFriday, February 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM until 4:00 PMEastern Standard Time UTC -05:00This comprehensive event allows prospective Radford University students to experience the Radford University Department of Dance firsthand. A few notes regarding the schedule for your audition: On the Tuesday before your audition from 3:30-4:30, you'll have the opportunity to meet many current students and faculty members in a Zoom meet-and-greet session. We welcome your parents to participate in the meet-and-greet sessions with current students and faculty.On the day of the audition, you will arrive at 9:50 AM to check-in. At 10:00 AM you will take a campus tour then have lunch from noon until 1:00 PM.Beginning at 1:00 PM you will take a group audition class that includes ballet barre, ballet center, a modern dance combination, and a jazz dance combination. After the class, you will present a prepared 2-minute solo audition. Students may use their own or someone else's choreography; however, the audition must be 2 minutes or less and in any genre of your choice. Additionally, it is strongly recommended that students bring any audition music needed on a CD or on a cell phone (downloaded music only; no streaming). The audition will be complete by 4:00 PM.
