This comprehensive event allows prospective Radford University students to experience the Radford University Department of Dance firsthand.

A few notes regarding the schedule for your audition:

On the day of the audition, you will arrive at 9:50 AM to check-in. At 10:00 AM you will take a campus tour then have lunch from noon until 1:00 PM.
Beginning at 1:00 PM you will take a group audition class that includes ballet barre, ballet center, a modern dance combination, and a jazz dance combination. After the class, you will present a prepared 2-minute solo audition. You may use your own or someone else's choreography; however, the audition must be 2 minutes or less and in any genre of your choice. Additionally, it is strongly recommended that students bring any audition music needed on a cell phone (downloaded music only; no streaming). The audition will be complete by 4:00 PM. Please note: Application to Radford University is a separate process that may be completed before, after or concurrent to the Dance audition process. Department of Dance auditions requires participation in group and solo portions. For the solo portion, you should prepare a modern jazz or ballet piece of no more than two minutes. If you intend to use your own music, please bring a CD or your cell phone.
