Sherry Hazelwood
Senior Director of Transfer Admissions

My name is Sherry Hazelwood and I serve as the Senior Director of Transfer Admissions. Although I am new to the Radford University team, I am originally from Giles County and have lived the majority of my adult life in the New River Valley. I completed my associate degree at New River Community College prior to my bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and master's degree in Higher Education at Virginia Tech.

As a transfer student myself and someone whose path through higher education took a while due to starting a family, I know that each student’s path can vary tremendously. I enjoy my role in helping students take their next step in traversing the road in front of them. My hope is that every student I work with completes the goals they have set for themselves and if roadblocks occur, they know I am here to help.
