Mike "Flip" DeFilippo '90
Regional Assistant Director
Hello future Highlanders, my name is Mike DeFilippo but everyone calls me “Flip”. I’m a Regional Assistant Director of Admissions for Radford University serving the Northern Virginia area. I grew up in Reston, VA and graduated from Radford University in 1990 with a B.S. in Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Science.
Since graduating from Radford, I’ve maintained strong connections to the Highlander Nation through the years. During my time as an undergraduate, I volunteered for many organizations in the Radford community and also became a member of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity and played for the Radford University Men’s Rugby Club, and I am still involved with both organizations serving as an Alumni mentor and a Board member.
Radford University shaped my life in many ways, it is where I met my future wife, and developed lifelong friendships. I’m passionate about my own Radford experience, and excited to help guide the next generation of Highlanders to the Radford University community! Go Highlanders!
