Maggie Wilbourne '18, MS '22
Admissions Counselor (Transfer)
My name is Maggie Wilbourne and I specifically work with transfer students. Radford University has always felt like a home to me. I am originally from Roanoke, Virginia and I was a transfer student to Radford. While in undergrad, I earned a B.A. in Communication with a concentration in public relations and a minor in sport administration. Then, I loved Radford so much that I decided to come back for my graduate degree, an M.S. in Strategic Communication completed in May of 2022.
I can honestly say that my experience at Radford has changed my life. I would have never imagined I'd have such a great network of people to count on post-graduation. When you come here, your professors become such a great resource and they truly will help you in any way you need, even after graduation. I have been given great opportunities to succeed here; the most notable opportunity being a graduate teaching assistant during my graduate studies.
When I am not at work I am mostly spending time with my family and spending time outdoors. We have such a great outdoor scene at Radford, so I love to go to Bisset Park and take walks and play tennis.
I am so excited to share my love for Radford with each and every one of you!
