Radford University

    Kevin Amaya, '16
    Assistant Director

Hello future Highlanders! My name is Kevin Amaya and I am an Assistant Director here at Radford University. I work with transfer students from the Northern Virginia area. I graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor’s in Sociology.

My favorite part about Radford University is that the students are placed in the forefront. The student-centered community offers support for your professional and personal development with a plethora of opportunities. Working at the Office of Admissions allows me to share my personal experiences at Radford to upcoming college students and encourage them to take their first major step into their futures. Though I am now a regional admissions counselor, Southwest Virginia will always be a place that I consider home. One of my favorite things to do is hike and Radford’s location in the New River Valley provides some of the most beautiful sights that nature has to offer.

While finding the perfect fit of a college might be tough, I aim to do my best in helping you take your first steps towards your future! Don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions that you may have.
