Jim Pomeroy
Admissions Counselor
Hello! My name is Jim Pomeroy. I am originally from the Philadelphia area. I received B.A.’s in History and Political Science and a minor in Middle Eastern Studies from James Madison University. I also received an M.A. in American History with a Master’s Certificate in Strategic Studies from Texas Tech University. In between degrees, I was a foreign policy and military/veterans’ affairs staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives.
While new to Radford, I have been in love with Virginia for over 10 years now. I am excited to help prospective students and their families navigate the college application process. As a firm advocate of higher education, I also look forward to imparting my passion for learning and academia on others.
